Honeymoon in New York City Mary and I went to Manhattan in October of 2022 for our Honeymoon. We spent a week touring the Big Apple. Got lucky with a hotel in midtown, a block from Broadway and 6th Avenue, and various other big locations. Lots of walking but many places were close. Was a great trip and great experience. We want to go back. We hope these photos give a small feeling for what we saw. These are nice big pictures, best viewed on a normal PC monitor not a little phone screen. .

Summary - these pictures, maybe 10-15 pulled from each daily album, give you a summary of our visit to the Big Apple. A handful of photos to recap our 7 day trip and things we did, places we visited, things we saw. Day 1 - flew in to Newark, shuttle to hotel in Manhattan, and like bumming around. Visited the large Macy’s (first time) just blocks away, went to a wax museum, found Walgreens all over and often two stories, and made our first visit to Times Square at night. Day 2 - took a guided tour, shuttle drove us places, guide walked and talked, great experience, saw lots. Went to Central Park, various buildings like Rockefeller Center, World Trade Center, ferry to Staten Island and back. Then we went to Times Square again. Day 3 - taxi to Central Park, then to the History Museum. Uber to Chinatown for lunch and walk, neat. Saw many sites around the city and visited the one hobby store, in a basement. Then another trip to Macys and out for dinner. Day 4 - spent the morning walking around Central Park (again). Lots to see from the resevoir, lake and pond, boats, fountains, carousel and trees, so many trees, big grass areas, play fields and paths. Went to the history museum in the afternoon. Day 5a - start the day with going to Grand Central Terminal (not station), what a big facility. The huge main area, scene in so many movies. Where subways come and go from, then the shopping areas and even a food court. Day 5b - the afternoon went to Rockefeller Center and FAO Schweetz toy store. Then saw Wicked off Broadway - wow. After rode the cable car over to Roosevelt Island and back. Ends the day at the top of the Empire State Building. Day 6 - another visit to Macy’s, just two block walk from hotel. Then Penn Station and subway ride to the World Trade Center and up the tower - what views. Back thru Grand Central and the museum visit. Dinner and a bicycle carriage ride thru Times Square. Day 7 - rode the cable car over to Roosevelt Island, neat ride and views. Tours part of the island more. Then back have New York pizza at a place a block from the hotel. Packed up and Uber across to Newark and the flight home.
